Biographical Note
Clara Schroeder was born on January 15, 1892 to Henry J. and Helena Schroeder and grew up in Knox County, Indiana. She was the oldest of six children, including Ben G., Ester, Sophia, Herald, and Wallace. Schroeder married Paul Masteller, an Indianapolis house painter, around 1911, and they had one daughter, Beatrice. She wrote the Schroeder and Sander Family Histories, published in 1949. Clara Masteller died in February or March of 1974 in St. Petersburg, Florida at the age of 82.
