Biographical Note

Joel Epstein worked at the Indiana State Library as a student assistant in 1969, transcribing tapes of Spanish American veterans' remembrances. He attended college at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis and was elected President of the student body in 1969. He was in the United States Air Force, stationed at the Lowry Air Force Base in Colorado, in 1971.
