Scope and Contents
This single sheet is 8 ½ x 5 ½ inches, typed in blue ink, on imprinted paper thus: “Office of S. A. Drake, Expert Examiner, Forged and Disputed Handwriting, 423 Columbia St., LaFayette, Ind.” The letter is dated April 27, 1904, and is addressed to Mr. H. W. Alexander, an attorney in Vincennes, Indiana. Mr. Drake informs Mr. Alexander that he is “professionally prepared to make examination of forged and disputed handwriting.” He assures the attorney in Vincennes that he can furnish references “in case you should desire the services of an expert in handwriting.”
