Scope and Contents

This collection comprises two letters from Elmer Davis in Washington, D.C. ranging from 1944 to 1945, regarding the Office of War Information (OWI), of which Davis was director during World War II. The first letter was sent to California Congressman Will Rogers, Jr. on April 29, 1944 informing him about the work of the Overseas Branch of OWI. The second letter was written to Harold F. Brigham at the Indiana State Library in Indianapolis on January 29, 1945, in response to his letter to Congressman Ludlow concerning potential acquisition of a film on Madision, Indiana.
