Biographical Note
Elizabeth Jane Crook was born during December 1838, in Madison County, Kentucky, to Kiah [Heziah] and Sally (Proctor) Crook, one of nine children. She wrote an account book in 1857, in Science Hill, Pulaski County, Kentucky. She married Marion Merrit Harber on November 23, 1858 in Madison County, Kentucky, and they had seven children. She died May 19, 1923 and is buried in the Richmond Cemetery, Richmond, Kentucky.
