Biographical Note

Mrs. Carrie J. Cox was born to James B. (founder of the Delphi Journal) and Mary Scott in 1857 in Indiana, one of five children. She married Joseph A. Cox in Carroll County, Indiana December 9, 1880, with whom she had one child, Florence. She was a founding member of the Rose Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star (OES) in Delphi, Indiana, wrote occasionally for the Delphi Journal, and died between October 1936 and June 1941.
