Biographical Note

Born in Highland County, Ohio, Armanis Francis Knotts was a politician and lawyer. Knotts served as a Republican member of the Indiana House of Representatives (Lake and Jasper County district) from 1898 to 1901, and was instrumental in the founding of both Gary, Indiana and Yankeetown, Florida. Knotts died October 3, 1937 in Yankeetown, Florida.
