Biographical Note
Jacob Ketcham was born in Tennessee in 1810. He married Rachel W. Heacock April 7, 1840 in Daviess County, Indiana. They had five children: Emily, Alfred, Hannah, Cyrus and Mary; and a grandson, Allen K., born in 1879. The family lived in Madison, Indiana in 1850. Ketcham died in the 1870s.
Allan Ketcham was born in November 17, 1879 in Indiana to Cyrus and Margaret Ketcham. He had three siblings: Alfaretta, May and Walter. He was the grandson of Jacob and Rachel Ketcham. Ketcham married Harriet Kirkpatrick on June 12, 1917 in Indianapolis, Indiana and they had a son, James Bennett who was born around 1919. Ketcham worked as an electrician at a power plant in Indiana in 1920, in Texas in 1930, and was widowed and retired by 1940.
