Biographical Note

Pleasant Carney was born on March 10, 1785. He married Elizabeth Emerson on August 26, 1806 in Kentucky, and they had at least three children. He bought land in Jennings and Bartholomew County, Indiana. He died on August 26, 1845 and is buried in the Friendship Baptist Graveyard, Columbus, Indiana.
