Biographical Note
John L. Byrne was born on February 2, 1856 in Ohio. He married Alice Holland on March 13, 1885 in Fayette, Indiana. They had at least three children, two of whom died very young. His daughter, Cynthia Edith, born 1892, survived to adulthood and married. He died on April 25, 1932 and is buried at the Robinson Chapel Cemetery, in Springersville, Indiana.
