Biographical Note
Stephen M. Burch's mother was Sarah, and he had at least two siblings, including Jennie and Tom. He and Jesse C. may have been brothers. He married Mary E. Newkirk on October 27, 1859. He served as a Union soldier in Company D, 59th Indiana Infantry Regiment, first as a private, then as a first lieutenant, mustering out on July 17, 1865 in Louisville, Kentucky. No further information was available.

Jesse C. Burch was born about 1841to James and Sarah Burch in Indiana. He had at least four siblings, including Mickey Jane, Sarah, James and Thomas. He and Stephen M. may have been brothers. He served as a Union soldier in Company D, 59th Indiana Infantry Regiment, as a private. No further information was available.
