This collection includes bills, warrants of indenture, membership cards, newspaper clippings and other items from various sources, including T.G Blackledge, Mullen-(Albert) Blackledge Company and others in Indiana ranging from 1841 to 1913 regarding various business transactions. It also includes a membership card to the Commercial Club signed by Eli Lilly as president in 1890.

Biographical Note
John W. Blackledge's company, John W. Blackledge & Company, produced Blackledge's patent exhibition cases in 1892. He was the president of Blackledge Manufacturing Company, maker of the Blackledge velvet shock absorbing springs, which company moved to Michigan Avenue in Indianapolis in 1913.
