Biographical Note
William Johnson lived in Surry County, NC according to the 1780 and 1810 Censuses. He was at least 45 in 1810. Charles Briant [Bryant] is listed as having been born in 1793 in Virginia, serving in the Surry County Regiment of NC in 1812, living in Surry County, NC in 1850 with wife Jemima and daughters Nancy and Rachel.
