The collection consists of a Photostat diary written primarily in German, with some English documents and letters. The cover sheet says, “Property of Victor Bauermeister, 1570 Wedeking Ave., Evansville, Indiana.” The Evergreen catalog entry says that the topics are “Church history” and “Lutheran Church” and the geography listings are “Indiana” and “Jackson County”. There are listings of names, Bible verses, letters, and legal notices mentioning Moses Joshua Bauermeister and the Rev. W. Bauermeister.

Biographical Note
Victor E. Bauermeister was born Feb. 17, 1915, in Indiana. He was a baker, Whirlpool repairman, a member of a Scottish Rite Temple, member of a drum and bugle corp, founded the Daylight Masonic Lodge, a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church and Peace Lutheran Church, and a gardener. He died Aug. 4, 1994, in Evansville, Indiana.
