This collection includes a carbon copy of a typed report written by Roscoe C. Andrews and Emery Andrews in Indiana in 1915 regarding the Kankakee River Valley in Indiana and Illinois and proposed improvements. Biographical Note
Roscoe Conklin Andrews was born January 18, 1882 in New Palestine, Indiana, to Henry D. and Susan E. Andrews. He was the second of seven children. He married Gertrude Means on September 16, 1903 in Shelby County, Indiana. He was a lifelong resident of New Palestine and worked for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad for 52 years, retiring from his position in 1953. He was a member of the New Palestine Masonic Lodge and served as a worthy master for the Order of the Eastern Star, New Palestine Chapter. He died April 28, 1967 and is buried in the New Palestine Cemetery, New Palestine, Indiana.
