This collection contains two Remington Public School Monthly Reports for Alfred Eckman. The first is for the 1904 and 1905 school year, the second for the 1905 and 1906 school year. The reports include the grades received by Alfred for each of his classes, as well as the names of his teachers.

Biographical Note
Alfred Eckman was born November 17 [28], 1887 to Alfred and Labe [Elizabeth] Williams Eckman in Otterbein, Indiana. His father was born in Sweden, while his mother was a native of Indiana. The family resided in Jasper County, Indiana where his father was a shoemaker. Alfred married Emma Matilda Colson in Benton County, Indiana on December 4, 1919. He operated a shoe store in Remington, Indiana for fifty years. They had moved to Monticello for six years before his death on Dec. 21, 1961. He is buried in Remington Cemetery, Remington.
