Scope and Contents

This collection comprises three scrapbooks from Henry P. Cottingham in Indiana ranging from 1927 to 1971, containing commission certificates, photographs, various publications by the Department of Conservation and Jasper-Pulaski Game Farm scenes, news releases, programs, and newspaper clippings, regarding the activities of the Indiana Department of Conservation. There are also programs and photographs from the August 30, 1951 dedication ceremonies of the Conservation Display Building at the Indiana State Fair, permits and licenses, and several Department of Conservation badges presumably worn by Cottingham during his career.

Biographical Note

Henry P. Cottingham was a native of Noblesville and director of the Indiana Fish and Game Division of the Conservation Department. Cottingham was the Superintendent of Game for the Department of Conservation and had an extensive knowledge of game birds.
