Scope and Contents

This collection contains a transcript and a rough draft of an interview of Edward C. Faith in 1955 It was transferred from 78 records at the WAMW and WFML radio stations in Washington, Indiana on May 22, 1966. In the interview, Faith discusses life in Daviess County in the late 19th century, including such topics as log cabins, wedding, travel, sports, and transportation.

Biographical Note

Edward Faith was born in Daviess County, Indiana around 1869, the son of Thomas W. and Matilda J. Faith. He worked most of his life as a civil engineer, but also served as a postmaster around 1910. On June 14, 1894, he married Lena Bach in Daviess County. They had two sons together. Faith died between 1953 and 1966.
