Biographical note
William Albert Shearer (1890-1973) was born to William Marion and Margaret Ellen (English) Shearer in 1878. He had two brothers, Charles English (1881-1925) and John Edwin (1883-1940). Shearer married Audrey Marshall (1891-1968) in 1913 and they were the parents of Francis M. Shearer (1915-2003).
