Biographical Note

John Falter began a career as an illustrator after working as a comic strip artist for the Falls City Journal in Falls City, Nebraska. He later opened a studio in New Rochelle, New York. Falter designed recruitment posters during World War II and simultaneous in 1943 became the cover illustrator for the Saturday Evening Post. He was inducted into the Society of Illustrators' Hall of Fame in 1976.
