Biographical Note

Daniel Glazier was born circa 1834 in Maryland. Glazier served as sergeant in Company C of the 107th Indiana Infantry during the U.S. Civil War. Following the war, Glazier's civilian job was firefighting. He was killed in the line of duty on March 11, 1873 while fighting a blaze at the Woodburn-Sarven Wheel Works on Illinois Street in Indianapolis, Indiana.
