Scope and Contents

From the Collection: This collection includes correspondence, papers, diaries, genealogical research materials, books, pamphlets, periodicals, photographs--including cartes de visite, tintypes, and negatives--35mm slides, and realia from Mary Louise Sator, Mary Cleason O'Hair, and O'Hair, Brady, and Sator families in the Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and the United States, ranging from 1827 to 1994, and undated, relating to family life and homes, interests, careers, and family history pertaining to the O'Hair, Brady, Moore, Critchlow, Herriott, Hankinson, McGuire, and other related families.

Series 3 comprises genealogical research materials for the O'Hair, Brady, and other related families. Therein, vital records are largely copies, while many original certificates and documents for the Brady and O'Hair families are found in Series 1. Included in the research materials is correspondence between families and cultural institutions about genealogical findings.

There is also a panoramic photograph depicting Mary Louise O'Hair's high school graduating class in 1932 (OP008).
