The collection includes papers regarding Ross Franklin Lockridge's duties as director of Hoosier Historic Memorial Activities, ranging from 1825 to 1950 and undated. The bulk of the collection concerns New Harmony, Indiana and members of the Owen community, as well as Indiana historical events and figures. Also included are speeches and papers written by Lockridge and his students on early Hoosiers, including Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and other Indiana and United States history topics.
There is also a biographical manuscript from John S. Duss regarding his life, including early recollections of the "Oekonomie" Harmonite community in Pennsylvania.
