From the Collection:
This collection contains the of business papers of John Borden, stock certificates and receipts of the Borden family in Indiana ranging from 1715 to 1902. Also included are William W. Borden’s letters, a scrapbook of notes and clippings of his geological work, and the papers of John M. Johnston, a Brookville, Franklin County, Indiana judge. Johnston’s papers include correspondence with Thomas A. Hendricks, Oliver P. Morton, Noah Noble, and James Whitcomb.
There is also an oversize folder containing receipts, stock certificates, and other documents relevant to the Borden family, created between 1818 and 1863 (OBC115), as well as 2 volumes (V449).
