Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The collection includes account books for the Waters furniture store (1885-1891, 1904-1908) and funeral business (1875-1891); Isaac White's account of fines collected as justice of the peace (1881-1883); John T. Waters's business papers and correspondence (1882-1917), including receipts and correspondence regarding his bicycling interests (1880s-1890s), and family letters from Brownsburg, Hendricks County and Lebanon, Boone County, Indiana (1888-1889); and photocopies of Waters family papers and letters (1815-1874).
There is also an oversize folder which contains a certificate for John T. Waters from the Clarke School for Embalming dated 1892 and two embalmers licenses for John and Flora Waters dated 1902 and 1908 respectively (OB199).
