From the Collection:
This collection contains James Flynn Stutesman’s papers regarding the Republican Party, his work in Central and South America, and his attempts to secure federal appointments. Also included is his correspondence regarding the 1916 Republican presidential campaign and his papers regarding the Panama-Pacific Exposition, including his reports, and his communications with heads of state in Central American and the West Indies. Other correspondence includes information regarding Bolivian affairs and a report of Lafayette attorney Will R. Wood on his trip to Cuba with Stutesman.
