Scope and Contents

From the Collection: This collection includes correspondence, photographs, and other papers from members of the Huston, Hopkins, and Lamb families in Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, and other areas throughout the United States and Europe (during World War II), ranging from 1881 to 1964 and undated, regarding family matters and genealogy, illness, Waveland Public Library, the Waveland Indepdent newspaper, and contemporary politics. The main correspondents were T. E. Huston, Lou Huston, Joseph Huston, and Mial E. Lamb. Some letters are addressed to other family members, but most were sent to Nella Lamb. Also included are postcards and greeting cards from 1909 to the 1950s, material regarding the Waveland Brown Township Public Library, and photographs of the family.
