This collection includes a copy of Mary Hannah Krout's book, The Memoirs of Hon. Bernice Pauahi Bishop, published in 1908. Attached to the endpaper in the front of the book is an April 17, 1907 letter sent to Krout from Charles R. Bishop, Bernice Pauahi Bishop's husband, in response to an interest in writing a biography of his wife.
