Scope and Contents This collection includes two photostatic copies of a June 24, 1864 letter sent to William Archibald and written by John H. Long while he served at the general hospital at Kingston, Georgia during the Civil War. Long discusses the lodge of the International Order of Good Templars (I.O.G.T.), the movements of his regiment from Camp Nelson, Kentucky to Kingston during the Atlanta campaign, and the establishment of the hospital in buildings the Confederate Army had erected for the same purpose.
