Scope and Contents This collection includes two letters written by Alexander Wilson of Peru, Indiana. The first letter is dated November 25, 1844 and was sent to Mr. B.F. Morris of the Indianapolis branch of the State Bank of Indiana requesting a loan for the purchase of several hundred head of hogs from William Conner and John Stephenson of Hamilton County.
