This 14-page manuscript was typed by Bessie Keeraan Roberts, 1012 Loree Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1940. She copied articles from the Fort Wayne Sentinel for 1902 about the old Wabash and Erie Canal and life in the early days of Fort Wayne, as her grandfather, Alex C. Comparet (1828-1921), remembered.
