Scope and Contents Lucy Campbell collected ten newspaper clippings from the Indianapolis Star published in October 1930 in Kate Milner Rabb’s column “A Hoosier Listening Post.” The articles reprinted letters from “Dr. James T. Lowry, husband of the aunt of Miss Lucy Campbell” about the journey that he and his friend made to the California gold fields in 1850. Traveling with James Lowry was T. H. Adams.
