This collection includes three original items stemming from correspondence of Marcus A. Wolfe in Santa Barbara, CA, in a letter he wrote to Governor Ralph Gates, January 29, 1946.Wolfe requested that the Governor forward a poem he wrote in honor of Nancy Hanks, mother of Abraham Lincoln, to the Nancy Hanks Memorial Association.
