Morton, James Whitcomb Riley, and Levi Cotton, and places like Vincennes, Corydon, New Harmony, and Indianapolis, significant to early history of Indiana.

Scope and Contents The collection primarily consists of Jefferson C. Davis’s official military papers. During Davis’s time as quartermaster, the papers include receipts, bills, requisitions, and other documents relating to his Indianapolis based post (1861). As an officer in the field, Davis’s papers include official correspondence regarding duties, copies of telegrams to Gen. John C. Scope and Contents The collection includes documentation regarding Ross Franklin Lockridge's duties as director of Hoosier Historic Memorial Activities. The bulk of the collection consists of New Harmony and members of the Owen community documentation. Also included are speeches and papers written by Lockridge and his students on early Hoosiers, including Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and other Indiana and United States history topics.
