This collection includes a July 2, 1863 letter written by Homer Woodworth and sent to his cousin Arvilla Reeves at Nettle Lake, Williams County, Ohio. Woodworth, a private in the 100th Indiana Regiment, wrote the letter while "encamped at Haines Bluffs on the Yazoo River about six miles from Vicksburg" during the siege of Vicksburg.
