The collection consists of family letters of the Beeler family ranging from 1823 to 1850. The letters relate to family activities, description of Illinois legislature, and general correspondence. This collection includes Indiana General Assembly documentation from the 27th Congress in 1842 and the 28th Congress in 1844 regarding the financing of the National Road (also known as the Cumbersland Road).
