This collection includes loose pages of a scrapbook containing photographs and postcards of library buildings and book deposits for the Allen County Public Library and the Gary Public Library, ranging from circa 1904 to 1930 in Gary, as well as Fort Wayne and Allen County, Indiana. There are also a few interior views. Many of the building images are accompanied by a handwritten figure denoting the cost of the building at the time of construction.

Scope and Contents
The collection contains transcripts of interviews and audio recordings from the Gary Public Library about the early days of Gary, Indiana ranging from 1955 to 1970. Eight of the folders contain items that were part of a series titled "Gary Public Library presents Living Voices of the Pinoeers," many of which were broadcast on the radio for the Gary "Golden Jubliee" in 1956. There is also a recording from a Lion Club of Gary banquet in honor of Al Greene.

This collection includes black-and-white photographs affixed to green board, which may have been part of a photograph album depicting interior and exterior views of multiple public library branches in Indiana from Gary, Vincennes, and Allen County, ranging from circa 1919 to circa 1928. Some handwritten notations on the backs of the photographs indicate the cost of the building.
