Scope and Contents This collection contains a painting of an autumn scene created by Floyd D. Hopper in 1960 for the Indiana State Library Staff Association during a meeting. He later returned to touch up the painting. The painting hung in the staff room at the library for many years before being transferred into the care of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Division.

Scope and Contents The two letters in this collection were written by M. Eileen Ahern, the Assistant State Librarian, to Arthur Cunningham in Terre Haute. In the December 2, 1891, letter, she tells Mr. Cunningham about attending the American Library Association meeting in California, and her hopes that Indiana libraries will organize so they can exchange books between libraries.
