Scope and Contents This collection includes Volunteer Descriptive Lists and Account of Pay and Clothing forms for volunteers enlisted in the 50th, 83rd, 93rd, 97th or 100th Indiana Regiment. The majority of forms are for the 97th regiment. The forms include information on the volunteers name, rank, unit, hometown, occupation, physical description, muster information, pay information and clothing allotment.

Scope and Contents Folder one is letters of Edmond Harrell and others, written from 1861 until 1893. Harrell was a soldier in the Civil War, assigned to Company B, 50th Indiana Volunteers. The collection includes a list of Eastin Family births, 1847 - 1884. Folder two is letters written from 1834 to 1892. One of the correspondents was Civil War soldier, Napoleon Bonaparte Newkirk, a corporal in Company G, 50th Indiana Volunteers. Included in the collection are recipes and an October 1887 wedding...
